Our new neighbors decided to cut down all the trees they had so they could put in new landscaping. My mom was very upset, and she unsuccessfully tried to convince them to at least save the big oak they had. I didn’t think I would care until I actually saw it gone. The land, which the oak tree occupied long before our neighbors or the house, was bare and almost desert like. I didn’t really realize the big tree’s beauty until it was gone.
This piece is a little bit of sadness and admiralty for the big guy outside your window.
My first vector abstract so go easy, and like always pointers/comments/favs/disses greatly appreciated, and will be thanked with the same in return (except for disses).
anywho... i like how you megered real life photos into the vector art...

Cool! I really love vector art and hopefully will learn how you guys do this! Brilliant use of color—I love the different shades of green you have chosen to convey the destruction that you descried in the description. Very good comp, the bright white line down the image helps the viewer [in my mind] focus in on all the chaos and lines. I also like the small image of the field and trees in the lower corner—really drives home the point.
By far, it is one of the better vectors I’ve seen in a while.
Sorry it took me so long to comment, I think DA closed down the forum—but thank you for posting and sharing your work with me! ;0

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
